Waterside Inn

Amazing place in a great location. Super clean and comfortable. I love that they have an option on their heating system for a continuous fan. I love the white noise as it helps me sleep. It is the little things. The balcony showed an amazing view of the water. Bonus was a hot tub and pool. Last but definitely not least Alice at the front desk went above and beyond to help me with my ancestry journey. I was there to locate my family on my fathers side who had lived in Chincoteague The Mungers. I found their graves but was looking for the street and house. Alice at the front desk contacted the owner of the hotel and had him call me to help me with my search which I thought was pretty amazing. She spent almost an hour helping me. Going through the relatives, relationships, locations, etc. Super nice and appreciated. You just don’t find customer service like this often these days. I will be back soon for another visit and there is no doubt about where I will stay. Love supporting the local businesses too instead of the big chain hotels. ❤️

We had booked a king room but I was down for repairs so they put us on a deluxe 2 queen bed room. I was wondering if this was going to work. Besides the beds the room had a mini fridge, microwave, love seat, chair and a table with 2 chairs. The bathroom had a separate sink outside of the toliet, bathtub and sink. There was a balcony with 2 wicker chairs and side table on it. We enjoyed a drink watching the sunset on the balcony. Everything was clean and the bathroom was well stocked. We were in a room next to the ice machine and I was a bit leary it might be noisy. But I was wrong our room was quiet.. breakfast was a ham biscuit and waffles with coffee and apples and granola bars available. It was a grab and go. The beds were comfortable and I definitely would stay there again. Yes it's a bit dated but well cared for and the price was very affordable. The staff is very friendly and very professional.

We booked this hotel based on location and the ability to watch the sunset from a hotel balcony. The sunset view was perfect! The room, however, was musty and humid. The carpet was absolutely disgusting - it was dump under our feet and the bottom of our feet turned black if we walked barefoot on the carpet. We left early due to the condition of the room because we were traveling with a baby and I couldn't have him play on the nasty carpet.
